well, the day just took a turn for the worse...

We took our Chevy Malibu in to the dealership because the horns won't honk when you press the steering wheel. We know the horns work, because they honk when we use our keyless entry. We figured it was just a loose wire to the steering wheel or something. Well, they just called and told us that we need a new airbag module, and it's going to cost $850. OMG. >:( I hate having to own two cars - it's just one frickin' thing after another!!!

There was once an actual salamander in my Dad’s slipper (His house is in a rather wooded area and is a haven to many non-human creatures.), and my best friend and I thought that would make a great children’s book title. We never wrote the book, but I figured I might as well put the catchy phrase to use as my blog title. Why not? (We don't know for sure if it was really a salamander vs. some other kind of lizardlike creature, but we were going for the alliteration. Artistic license, ya know?)
