my 4-year-old son is a dirty old man

So, last night we were sitting here watching the So You Think You Can Dance (Dance...Dance...Dance) results show, and they had a musical guest. It was that girl who sings "I Kissed a Girl and I Liked It" - don't ask me what her name is. Anywho, we were all sitting here watching the performance, and Nick made the following observation: "She has good boobs!" Yeah, that's my son.

OK, well now that I am back from Chicago (I was there all last week) I am totally looking forward to your visit. I have found a kickboxing class at Draves on Tuesday evening, by the way. It looks like the only one in town.

Let me know if you have anything specific that you want to do. I talked to Carrie and she is planning on getting a group together for dinner (possibly at the Firefly). I may have difficulty getting away on Saturday morning since Bil is still working on our deck...but the afternoon should be mostly free since the kids will hopefully nap.....I can't wait!; July 15, 2008 at 6:53 AM

There was once an actual salamander in my Dad’s slipper (His house is in a rather wooded area and is a haven to many non-human creatures.), and my best friend and I thought that would make a great children’s book title. We never wrote the book, but I figured I might as well put the catchy phrase to use as my blog title. Why not? (We don't know for sure if it was really a salamander vs. some other kind of lizardlike creature, but we were going for the alliteration. Artistic license, ya know?)
